This policy explains how MBC Thuisverpleging (“we”, “us”) handles your personal data when you use the MBC Thuisverpleging mobile app on iOS and Android.

What the app does

The app provides information about our home nursing services. It is not a medical records system. Please do not submit sensitive health data through the app unless we explicitly ask you to.

Data we collect

You provide: • First and last name, email address, and password (for sign-up and login) • Article favorites • Photos (admins only, when adding article images)

Automatically: • A technical user ID and account timestamps • Limited technical logs if something goes wrong

We do not collect: location, contacts, or data for advertising.

Device permissions: Internet (required). Camera and photo library (admins only, for image uploads). You can revoke permissions in your device settings.

Passwords are managed by Firebase Authentication. We do not store them ourselves.

How we use your data

To run your account, show content, save favorites, let admins manage articles, keep the app secure, and reply to your questions.

We do not sell your data or use it for targeted ads.

Third-party services

We use trusted providers who process data on our behalf:

• Google Firebase — authentication and database (profile, articles, favorites) • Cloudinary — hosting images uploaded by admins

Data may be processed outside the EU/EEA with appropriate safeguards where required by law. We only share data with authorities when legally required.
